Pete Flower
Owner and Counsellor
Hi, I’m Pete! I am really excited by the opportunity to provide quality counselling to the people in our local area. I look forward to meeting you – please feel free to get in touch via text or email anytime, and we can chat about how I might be able to help you.
I grew up in Sydney and moved to Forster (what a beautiful part of the world!) at the beginning of 2001. One of my greatest joys is hanging out with my family and friends, closely followed by good coffee. I love watching soccer (especially when it involves my kids). When time permits, I enjoy a spot of fishing, and I’m hoping to get back into woodworking in the very near future.
SORRY PETE’S BOOK ARE CLOSED AND THERE IS NO LONGER A WAIT LIST.

WHAT IS COUNSELLING?
A counsellor is not a guru. Seeing a counsellor is about having someone to walk with you through issues and challenges, and perhaps offering you a different perspective.
Counsellors believe that each person has the ability to work through their problems. In counselling, the counsellor works with you to equip you to help make the changes you need to make.
In a counselling session, your counsellor will listen to your story and create a safe space. A space for you to explore and develop a deeper understanding of yourself and the struggles you may be experiencing.
For some, this may sound a bit scary. Maybe you have never experienced a safe space to explore your deepest concerns and needs.
WHAT HAPPENS AT THE FIRST SESSION?
HOW MUCH DOES COUNSELLING COST?
The standard cost of a session:
Individuals – $140
Couples – $180 (currently full)
Professional Supervision (Group) – $100
Professional Supervision (Individual) – $175
Please note that Medicare rebates are not available for counselling at this stage.
Some Private Health Funds cover counselling. You will need to contact them to see if they do.
Also, if appointments are missed or cancelled without due notice (24hrs), payment will still be required.
If you are experiencing financial difficulty, please chat to our staff and we will do what we can to assist you.
HOW DO I MAKE AN APPOINTMENT?
You can email our office at office@eternitycounselling.com.au or alternatively access the Online Client Portal found on our “Book a Session” page.
HOW LONG IS EACH SESSION?
However, couple sessions will often go slightly longer than this.
HOW MANY SESSIONS WILL I NEED TO ATTEND, AND HOW OFTEN?
On average, couples attend between 8-12 sessions, sometimes coming back to touch base on a regular basis.
Individuals should expect to attend a minimum of 6-8 sessions.
Generally speaking, people continue counselling whilst they feel they are gaining benefit from it.
DO I NEED A REFERRAL FROM MY GP?
